Environmental Biohazards and Biosafety

Mycological and bacteriological analyses, monitoring and ecotoxicology

Analysis of air, and solid and liquid fractions for the principal genre and species of the following bio-indicative and pathogenic microorganisms : aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, actinomycites, mushrooms, molds (Aspergillus fumigatus,...) and yeasts.

These analyses are indispensable for evaluating the risk of worker exposure to biohazards on industrial and natural sites. The results make possible the definition of norms and the establishment of simple and effective technical and security recommendations and measures to control or eliminate biohazards.

Fields of application

• Environmental impact assessment
• Biosafety auditing
• Presence of microbes in composting, anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, landfill, agricultural and animal production installations.
• Presence of aerosols in fabrication facilities and warehouses
• Air biofilter and ventilation system auditing
• Microbiological analysis of solid and liquid fractions (compost, sludges, landfill leachates, swine and bovine wastes, soil, surface and underground water supplies, potable and industrial water, lakes, ponds, water distribution networks
